Job summary

Alene Candles LLC and Midwest is seeking a Pour End Lead to join our Milford, NH production team. The role is on-site, involves supervising line operators, coordinating with the Pour Technician, and maintaining safety and quality on the production floor.

The successful candidate will have 1-2 years in manufacturing with supervisory experience, knowledge of wax types, and the ability to read the Manufacturing Assembly Process.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing processes and deviations.
  • Ability to operate various machines and use hand tools.

The Hours

A Pour End Lead works Monday - Thursday, 3:15am - 1:30pm, although that can change slightly depending on the needs of the business. During our busy season we anticipate there being some Overtime available. Busy season is happening now and we anticipate it running through October. The final two weeks of the year, we are shut down for the holidays and inventory. During this time we cannot guarantee full time hours for our employees.

The Pay

The Pour End Line Lead position pays $23.00/hour.

In addition, we are offering a $2,000 sign on bonus, split into two payments. The first payment of $1,000 will be included in your first paycheck, and the final $1,000 payment will be paid in your first check after completing 90 days of service.

The Location

We are located at 51 Scarborough Lane, Milford, NH. This position is onsite.

Additional Job Details
  • Follows and complies with all safety rules and regulations. Maintains individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment/ tooling, defective materials and unusual conditions to material lead or supervisor.

  • Clear all lines of obstacles and trash
  • Expectations are to constantly be observing and promote changes, improvements and sustain.
  • Take daily attendance for Zone and provide Assistant Supervisor with any inaccuracies.
  • Verify all employees have logged into ShopVue.
  • Start shop orders in ShopVue.
  • Report all scrap in ShopVue for each shop order.
  • Performs activities of candle maker when assigned to assist or relieve on an individual basis to avoid shutdown.
  • Ability to take weights and enter information accurately into weights database.
  • Make necessary valve adjustments when required to ensure quality is to job standards.
  • Working with the Pour Technician to set up machines and equipment; communicate with Pour Technician to assure lines are in perfect operating condition.
  • Maximize line efficiency with minimal direction.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to read / understand Manufacturing Assembly Process as well as deviations if necessary.
  • Ability to organize and monitor workflow while achieving quality, efficiency and daily goals.

  • Ensures that assigned line meets daily goals, safety requirements and follows quality standards.
Education Required
  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
Range Of Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing environment
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to understand quality control methods.
  • Ability to use various machines and practical skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
