Job summary

Knowles Precision Devices seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer in Liberty, SC to lead Lean initiatives, deploy 5S, and train teams in problem-solving tools. You will manage rapid improvement events, design layouts, and sustain scrap reduction through monthly savings tracking.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and measurable value creation. Responsibilities include developing annual improvement plans, reporting to corporate, and ensuring safety and efficiency in manufacturing

Qualifications

Engineering degree in IE/ME or related field.
2+ years in engineering-related areas such as Maintenance, Production, or Quality.
Ability to analyze information and solve problems creatively.
Disciplined with strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Lead Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) including Kaizen, TPM, Kanban, and SMED.
Train and coach employees in practical problem solving (CPS).
Monitor and report monthly savings from scrap reduction projects.
Implement Tier 2 boards and create value stream layouts during improvement events.
Develop training materials and keep them updated for improvement events.
Create Value Stream Analysis maps and train in Standard Work.
