Job summary
Connections Personnel, Inc. is hiring a hands-on Mechanical Engineer for our client in Middlesex, NJ. The role focuses on improving equipment performance, refining production processes, and implementing engineering solutions to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with experience in fabrication, machining, and industrial equipment. You will work closely with production, engineering, and leadership teams to design,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's preferred.
- 3–7+ years in manufacturing or mechanical engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining, welding, and fabrication.
- Experience with ERP systems is required.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks; portfolio of work preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing exposure (5S, Kaizen) is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve mechanical systems, equipment, and processes.
- Analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and waste.
- Support fabrication and assembly; troubleshoot equipment on the shop floor.
- Collaborate with production and leadership to implement improvements.
- Monitor KPIs for efficiency and quality; ensure safety compliance.
