Job summary

Mountville, a global matting manufacturer, seeks a Process Engineer to drive improvements across production lines, from raw materials to finished goods. You will lead optimization efforts to boost yield, throughput, and quality and collaborate with Quality to meet specifications and safety standards.

The role emphasizesHands-on problem solving, data-driven analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma expertise to reduce waste and downtime while supporting new product introductions and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of process engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve yield, cycle time, and quality
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for process-related defects and downtime
• Design, specify, and implement new equipment, tooling, and process changes
• Develop and maintain process documentation: work instructions, standard operating procedures, process flow diagrams
• Partner with Quality to ensure processes meet specification and regulatory requirements
• Support new product introduction - scale lab/pilot processes to full production
• Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and line balancing
• Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain
• Ensure all process changes comply with safety standards and do not compromise worker safety
