Job summary

Nesco Resource is seeking motivated individuals to join our production team as a General Assembly / Machine Operator in Mentor, OH. You will assemble and operate machinery to produce brushes, performing hands-on tasks with precision in a fast-paced setting.

The role offers 1st shift (7:20 am–3:50 pm) or 2nd shift (4:00 pm–12:30 am), both Monday–Friday, with hourly rates of $16.25 and $17.25 respectively. It is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a temperature-controlled environment and a sign-on

Responsibilities

• Perform simple, repetitive hand and machine production tasks to safely and efficiently assemble or twist brushes.
• Cut and prepare fill material for use in brush assembly or twisting operations.
• Spread and position fill material evenly between stem wires using guides or stops.
• Twist and assemble brushes in varying order quantities and package for shipment.
• Record production data and report equipment issues or defective materials.

Location: Mentor, OH

Shifts: 1st shift- 7:20 am - 3:50 pm, Monday- Friday - $16.25/hour

2nd shift- 4 pm - 12:30 am, Monday- Friday - $17.25/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform simple, repetitive hand and machine production tasks to safely and efficiently assemble or twist brushes made from various materials
• Cut and prepare fill material for use in brush assembly or twisting operations
• Spread and position fill material evenly between stem wires using guides or stops
• Twist and assemble brushes in varying order quantities and package them for shipment
• Obtain first-piece inspections and monitor work in process against quality standards
• Follow work instructions, safety protocols, and operating procedures for machine loading and adjustments
• Occasionally perform additional tasks such as attaching handles, ferrules, or couplings; threading stems; pulling springs; trimming ends; and shaping wire
• Record production data accurately and report any equipment issues, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the supervisor
