Job summary

Yanfeng, a leading automotive supplier, seeks an IT professional to implement, support, and enhance MES, WMS, and related production systems on the shop floor. The role provides Level 1 support for mission-critical platforms, including occasional after-hours coverage during production-impacting incidents.

Ideal candidates will have 5–9 years of IT experience with manufacturing systems, automotive familiarity, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or equivalent experience.
• 5–9 years IT experience with manufacturing system implementations.
• 1–3 years in automotive manufacturing preferred.
• Experience supporting high-availability or production-critical environments.
• Experience with MES or WMS in a shop-floor environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement, support, and enhance MES, WMS, and related production systems.
• Provide Level 1 support for mission-critical platforms with after-hours coverage.
• Analyze processes to identify efficiency, safety, and performance gains.
• Develop and document functional and technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot application, interface, and infrastructure issues with vendors and teams.
• Monitor interfaces, logs, and error reporting tools to prevent issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Support deployment of new manufacturing technologies and enterprise solutions.
• Manage ongoing support requests and maintenance tasks.
• Support PC and server infrastructure in manufacturing facilities.
• Collaborate on upgrades, changes, and integrations.
• Participate in planning and continuous improvement for regional/global systems.
• Ensure functionality tested and validated during upgrades and migrations.
• Deliver excellent customer support with plant personnel, vendors, and stakeholders.
