Job summary

Magna International is seeking a motivated IT/OT Student/Co-Op to support manufacturing network environments. You will assist with network infrastructure, troubleshooting, and documentation across plant operations.

You will gain hands-on experience with MQTT, OPC UA, TCP/IP, and enterprise networking while collaborating with experienced engineers on automation projects in a dynamic automotive technology setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or network engineering.
• Strong knowledge of MQTT, OPC UA, TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs.
• Familiarity with Windows environments and basic server administration.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with network infrastructure support, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Support switches, routers, wireless networks, and network security initiatives.
• Maintain IT/OT systems and connectivity across plant operations.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Participate in technology improvement and automation projects.
