Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Inventory Operations Associate in Adel, IA to oversee day-to-day inventory at a cannabis production site. You will report to the Production Manager and support staff with procedures, scheduling, and training.

Responsibilities include counting items in locations, updating the inventory system, and moving items as needed. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel).

Qualifications

Job description

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a large cannabis production facility
• Report and work directly with the Production Manager
• Support production staff with policies and procedures, schedules, and training
• Count items within their respective locations
• Ensure tallied amounts are accurately reflected in the inventory system
• Move items and assign them to new locations
• Use spreadsheets and Excel
• Conduct inventory in multiple facilities
• Track items daily to ensure accuracy
• Update item changes or new statuses in the system
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 21 years of age (or minimum 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
• Excellent attention to detail

• Attend inventory system training sessions as needed
• Ability to count items within their respective locations
• Ability to utilize spreadsheets and Excel

• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
• Ability to work seated/standing for extended periods and perform climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and frequent/constant hand movements
• Ability to handle organic matter daily and wear appropriate PPE in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions
• Visual acuity sufficient for computer work and inspection of small parts/details
• Ability to communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers and vendors
