Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Manufacturing Inventory Analyst in Wallingford, CT to support operations across manufacturing, sales, sourcing, and purchasing. You will analyze data to optimize inventory levels, ensure lead times are met, and drive cost-effective production planning.

The role offers a full-time schedule with potential flexible on onboarding milestones and performance goals. Collaboration with multiple teams and a focus on continuous improvement are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing work experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly motivated and self directed with the ability to motivate others.
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs.

• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Responsibilities

• Ensure incoming and outgoing inventory meet lead time expectations.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure inventory is available and accurately priced.
• Oversee forecasting, costing and scheduling in an effort for continuous improvement.
• Analyze data to effectively meet customer demand through capital investments.
• Develop a complete product portfolio for Fastenal.
• Manage necessary data to create, update and continually drive to improve production planning process.
• Contribute technical and business expertise to improve and enhance the inventory management system to optimize customer order fulfillment.
