Job summary

DIS-TRAN Steel in Ruston, LA is seeking an MI Solutions Specialist I to support the design, deployment, and adoption of Manufacturing Intelligence solutions that improve operational visibility, performance, and decision-making. You will work under guidance to translate requirements into working components and help build dashboards and reports.

You will configure MI applications, develop data integrations, test solutions, participate in deployments, and document processes while growing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Exposure to SQL, scripting, dashboards, or reporting tools.
• Foundational understanding of databases and data structures.
• Interest in industrial systems such as PLCs, SCADA, and MES.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discovery meetings, workshops, and project discussions.
• Configure MI applications, operator interfaces, dashboards, and data-collection solutions.
• Translate requirements into working system components with guidance.
• Develop documentation, testing materials, and support deployment activities.
• Follow standards for architecture, cybersecurity, quality, and deployment.
• Support testing, user-acceptance, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
