Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking a Manufacturing Infrastructure Support Technician to support and maintain manufacturing IT/OT environments across North American facilities in a fully remote role within the Pacific Time Zone. The role focuses on implementing IT infrastructure per ITSNA standards while supporting OT and Manufacturing 4.0 initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience supporting IT infrastructure, manufacturing technologies, or industrial environments.
  • Experience providing IT support and partnering with internal stakeholders in large, complex organizations.
  • Prior experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or OT environments is strongly preferred.
  • Certifications and/or demonstrated hands-on expertise in VMware, networking, ITSM are beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Manage infrastructure projects, deployments, upgrades, and technical support activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and escalations using ServiceNow.

  • Manage IT assets, infrastructure documentation, and lifecycle activities.
  • Monitor system performance, support disaster recovery testing, and business continuity efforts.
  • Evaluate security risks and implement appropriate network and firewall controls.
  • Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing sites and IT/OT initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with ITSNA, GDI, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Recommend technology improvements that enhance reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Manufacturing Infrastructure Support Technician (Remote - Pacific Time Zone)

The Manufacturing Infrastructure Support Technician supports and maintains manufacturing IT/OT environments across Saint-Gobain's North American facilities. This is a fully remote role requiring candidates to reside and work within the Pacific Time Zone.

This position is responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining IT infrastructure in accordance with IT Services North America (ITSNA) standards while supporting Operational Technology (OT) environments and Manufacturing 4.0 initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain manufacturing IT/OT infrastructure in compliance with ITSNA security and operational standards.
  • Manage infrastructure projects, deployments, upgrades, and technical support activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and escalations using ServiceNow.
  • Support Windows, Linux, VMware, networking, cybersecurity, monitoring, and backup technologies.
  • Manage IT assets, infrastructure documentation, and lifecycle activities.
  • Monitor system performance, support disaster recovery testing, and business continuity efforts.
  • Evaluate security risks and implement appropriate network and firewall controls.

Security & Compliance

  • Support and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Partner with Industrial System Security Officers (ISSOs) to maintain compliance.
  • Ensure infrastructure monitoring and security controls are effectively maintained.
  • Build strong relationships with manufacturing sites and business stakeholders.
  • Deliver responsive technical support and drive issues to resolution.
  • Follow established service management, escalation, and communication processes.

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience supporting IT infrastructure, manufacturing technologies, or industrial environments.
  • Experience providing IT support and partnering with internal stakeholders in large, complex organizations.
  • Prior experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or Operational Technology (OT) environments is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications and/or demonstrated hands-on expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • VMware
    • Network switching, routing, and firewall technologies
    • IT Service Management (ITSM)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, industrial systems, and the technologies that support them.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel 30-50% throughout North America, including support for manufacturing facilities, infrastructure projects, system implementations, upgrades, disaster recovery activities, and other operational needs.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed to support manufacturing operations and project deployments.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support when required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel by air and automobile.

Candidates must reside and perform their work within the Pacific Time Zone to support business operations and stakeholder collaboration.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $81,500 to $126,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $89,600 to $139,100. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
