Job summary

Kairos Power, a nuclear energy technology company, seeks a Director of Manufacturing Industrialization & Scaling to lead the transition from R&D to scalable, cost-effective production across facilities.

You will shape the long-range manufacturing roadmap, drive capability scaling, and optimize capital investments while collaborating with engineering, supply chain, and finance to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical management, or related field OR equivalent.
• 12+ years in manufacturing/engineering ops or R&D infra, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven success leading multi-disciplinary teams in high‑consequence environments.
• Experience with R&D labs, pilot plants, or advanced manufacturing preferred.
• Proven ability to develop talent and lead through change.

Responsibilities

• Owns the manufacturing industrialization strategy and long-range roadmap for scalable, reliable production.
• Manages CapEx/OpEx planning and cost-tracking to improve visibility and pricing strategy.
• Collaborates with engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality to mature products for scale.
• Pilots processes and production technologies to de-risk high‑volume production.
• Fosters a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across manufacturing teams.
• Aligns Make-vs-Partner decisions with cost, quality, and schedule data.
• Provides KPIs and performance reviews to support executive decisions.
