Job summary

ZSG in Ghent, KY, is seeking an experienced HR & Talent Manager to lead the site's human resources and talent initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This leadership role partners with division leadership to shape talent strategy, workforce planning, and organizational needs.

You will head the local HR team, oversee recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits, payroll, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field.
• 5 years of Human Resources experience.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the facility’s HR team.
• Partner with division leadership on talent strategy, workforce planning, and organizational needs.
• Manage employee relations matters and provide guidance to managers and employees.
• Support and participate in workplace investigations.
• Oversee recruiting and hiring activities for full-time employees and student programs.
• Provide leadership around employee onboarding, development, training, and retention.
• Oversee administration of employee benefits programs.
• Support FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and other applicable employment requirements.
• Oversee weekly payroll administration and attendance processes.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated and consistently applied.
• Help develop and implement strategic initiatives supporting broader business objectives.
• Coordinate division-wide training and employee development efforts.
• Support internal communication, employee engagement, and company events.
• Represent HR in leadership meetings and cross-functional initiatives.
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and company standards.
