Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese in Georgia is seeking an HR Supervisor to oversee daily HR operations and supervise plant HR Generalists and Specialists. You will ensure consistent execution of HR programs, employee relations processes, and compliance across the plant, while backing up the HR Manager for 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise a team of HR professionals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Familiar with HR policies and employment law (FMLA, Workers’ Comp, ADA, Employee Relations).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Supervise HR Generalists/Specialists to deliver HR processes, policies, and employee engagement.
• Serve as the first-level escalation point for routine employee relations matters for hourly employees; advise supervisors and employees; escalate complex issues to HR Manager.
• Partner with operations to support staffing, development, attendance, and workplace improvements.
• Oversee core HR processes (performance reviews, 30-60-90 day checks, and internal job postings).
• Support administration, data collection, and compliance for FMLA, ADA, Workers' Comp, LOA requests.
• Maintain positive, inclusive shop-floor presence and act as liaison between employees and leadership.
• Coordinate employee meetings, recognition programs, and engagement events.
• Oversee hourly talent acquisition at recruitment events and job fairs.
• Ensure HR policies and regulatory compliance; assist audits and maintain records.
