Job summary

Sub-Zero, Inc. in Goodyear, AZ, seeks an aspiring HR Leader to direct human capital strategies at two manufacturing sites, partnering with plant leaders to drive results and build a culture focused on engagement and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to a corporate director of human resources, this role leads labor relations, recruitment, policy development, and leadership coaching, with emphasis on workforce development in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent written, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, labor contracts, and employee handbooks.
• 3+ years of union experience.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• 10+ years of HR experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR for two manufacturing sites and partner with operational leaders to drive business results through human capital strategy, employee engagement, talent acquisition, labor relations, leadership coaching, policy development, and people leadership.
• Build a strong culture within each plant by working with the manufacturing team and hourly team members to ensure employees feel valued and engaged.
• Develop, implement, and support strategic full-cycle recruitment plans for hourly and salaried workforce.
• Partner with manufacturing team to cultivate positive labor and employee relations for union and non-team members.
• Coach and influence leaders and team members on company policies and practices, as well as applicable federal and state regulations to ensure fair and consistent delivery of human resource services.
• Lead team of HR team members in accordance with Sub-Zero Group leadership principles.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Contributes to a cooperative, team environment by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related activities as needed and/or requested.
