Job summary

DuraPlas, Inc. is seeking a people-focused Senior HR Generalist to join a small, collaborative HR team and play an important role in supporting the employee experience.

Reporting directly to the Senior HR Manager, this is a highly hands-on position with broad exposure to all areas of human resources, including recruiting and onboarding, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, training, compliance, and HR initiatives, such as implementing an Applicant Tracking System within our

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related field.
• 4+ years HR generalist experience in manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, or similar environment.
• Working knowledge of HR practices, payroll administration, benefits compliance, and applicable employment laws (ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, workers’ comp).
• Experience using HRIS and payroll systems; proficiency with ATS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Multi-state workforce experience is a plus.
• SHRM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, postings, screening, interviews, pre-employment coordination, and hiring manager support.
• Handle new employee onboarding (including orientation), internship program development/support, and other talent-related initiatives.
• Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain records related to compensation changes, deductions, tax withholdings, benefits, and retirement contributions.
• Administer employee benefits, COBRA, leave requests, FMLA, and workers’ compensation claims.
• Support annual open enrollment and ongoing benefits & wellness education initiatives.
• Serve as primary resource for employee inquiries related to policy interpretation, payroll, benefits, leave administration, and employee relations concerns.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, communications, events, and programs to promote a positive workplace culture.
• Assist with performance reviews, training initiatives, safety planning, and compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Maintain HR, payroll, and benefits records; conduct audits; assist with regulatory reporting (EOE-1, ACA, OSHA) as needed.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to resolve issues and support business initiatives.
• Participate in selecting and implementing technology solutions.
• Contribute to special projects and other HR responsibilities as assigned.
