Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a manufacturing associate to support a plant operation in New York. You will join a team focused on increasing productivity, reducing downtime, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

You should be able to work the biweekly 7am–3pm and 3pm–11pm shifts, perform multiple tasks on the plant floor, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass required background checks. A year of manufacturing experience is preferred, with forklift experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Ability to pass Pre-employment Background Check and Drug Test.
• Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. throughout shift.
• Must have at least 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read and write basic English instructions.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have a good attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
• Assist all jobs on the plant floor and participate in facilities-related work.
• Follow all safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May be required to stack parts and lift product up to 50 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.
• This role operates on a biweekly rotating shift of 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm.
