Job summary

General Motors in Parma, Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Group Leader to drive daily production, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives on site. You will lead teams and coordinate operations, aiming for excellence across SPQRCE priorities.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work weekends and rotating shifts. You will read work instructions, use standard tools, and uphold safety and Built-in-Quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year of direct supervisory experience or at least 5 months as an internal GM per diem group leader.
• Experience managing, leading people, and addressing performance concerns.
• Experience solving complex problems and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills, experience managing conflict, and decision making.
• Demonstrate a high analytical ability to solve complex problems.
• Basic computer proficiency (i.e. Microsoft Word, typing, email etc.)
• Must be willing to work weekends and rotating shifts.
• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond promptly to the manufacturing daily plan, making necessary adjustments to operations as required.
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Possess the experience to manage change and navigate ambiguity.
• Drive accountability through people and processes which may require difficult conversations.
• Oversee production activities, quality assurance, inspection, problem-solving, and GM Built-in-Quality initiatives.
