Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking a First Line Supervisor to lead a 10–20 person department in a 24/7 unionized manufacturing environment in Virginia. You will supervise hourly staff, enforce safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement using Plan-Do-Check-Act.

You will partner with team leaders, manage schedules, training, and performance, and ensure adherence to standard work while supporting the AdvanSix Operating System principles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or related degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, industrial, and/or chemical plant environment preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct reports to achieve assigned tasks.
• Plan and administer procedures and budgets per collective bargaining agreement.
• Lead problem identification and solution with continuous improvement measures.
• Engage team leaders and employees to improve processes and performance.
• Manage 10–20 person department to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost goals.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations compliance.
