Job summary

SubCom is seeking a Manufacturing Financial Analyst in Newington, NH to support planning, forecasting and analysis for manufacturing operations. You will partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations toImprove margin, inventory and productivity while delivering clear, actionable financial insights.

The role emphasizes ERP data accuracy, KPI reporting and collaboration across finance and operations, with a focus on continuous improvement and integrity in reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience; manufacturing/operations preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; advanced Excel skills (pivot, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP).

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of manufacturing processes to strengthen financial analysis.
  • Conduct forecast vs actual variance analysis with rationale.
  • Support operational initiatives through financial modeling and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Audit financial reports to ensure ERP data consistency.
  • Investigate data discrepancies with cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in ERP enhancements and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Build cross-department relationships across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations.

This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, and Operations Leadership to provide financial analysis, operational insight, and decision support that improve business performance.A key focus of this position is developing a thorough understanding of manufacturing operations and the financial drivers that impact margin, inventory, productivity, and operational performance. The Financial Analyst will utilize analytical tools to support forecasting, budgeting, operational analysis, inventory management, and business decision-making while ensuring financial information is accurate, actionable, and effectively communicated throughout the organization.This position will report to the Assistant Manufacturing Controller.ResponsibilitiesDevelop an understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow to strengthen financial analysis and business recommendations.Conduct forecast vs. actual variance analysis, bridging from forecast to actuals with rationale.Support operational initiatives through financial modeling and analysis.Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and analytical tools supporting Manufacturing Operations.Audit financial reports, dashboards, and KPI reporting to ensure consistency with ERP data and financial reporting.Investigate data discrepancies and work with cross-functional teams to resolve reporting issues.Participate in ERP enhancements, reporting improvements, and business intelligence initiatives.Build collaborative relationships across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, and Operations.Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to both finance and non-finance audiences.Translate financial data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.Consistently ensures that business is always conducted with integrity and that behavior aligns with SubCom policies, procedures, and core values.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.3-5 years of relevant work experience required, Manufacturing or Operations experience preferred.Demonstrates strong analytical skillsAbility to interact effectively with all levels of the organizationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
