Job summary

Aquent is seeking a skilled accounting leader to join a leading manufacturing partner in California. You will oversee core accounting functions, including AP/AR/GL and payroll, while driving cost accounting, standard costing, and close processes with strong internal controls.

You will collaborate with senior management on budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective external coordination with CPAs and auditors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong Excel and ERP system proficiency.
• Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes with accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Conduct cost accounting and profitability analysis for jobs, products, and customers.
• Maintain standard costing and support pricing analysis.
• Ensure internal controls and tax/compliance coordination with CPAs and auditors.
