Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to oversee fixed assets, depreciation, and cost analysis.

You will record costs for new assets, track existing assets, and ensure proper capitalization of CAPEX while reconciling accounts monthly. You will support treasury operations—banking, cash forecasting, and debt activities—prepare accruals, analyze key expenses, and assist with monthly closes and audits.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts
• Assist budgeting and forecasting
• Daily balancing of bank accounts and cash management
• Assist in daily banking requirements
• Ensure accurate processing of positive pay transactions
• Assist costing calculations including standard cost
• Prepare journal entries and accruals
• Monthly accounts reconciliations
• Manage fixed asset reports for management
• Prepare capital and expense budgeting analyses
• Reconcile General Ledger for corporate and capital projects
• Create and manage fixed assets for operating equipment and leases
• Research expense details of projects not aligned with capital spending guidelines
• Track fixed asset value and depreciation of operating assets
• Support internal controls (SOX) audits and process updates
• Prepare quarterly IFRS reports
• Seasonal journal entries and accruals for revenues
• Assist in audits and auditors' requests
• Other accounting duties as required by Accounting Sr. Manager
• Work on business improvement objectives and cross-training
