Job summary

Alliance Resource Group seeks an accomplished finance leader to oversee accounting and FP&A for a $30M manufacturing organization. The role reports to the CEO and leads a 2-3 staff team responsible for all month-end and year-end close activities, cost accounting, and financial statement reporting.

Candidate will partner with business operations to create efficiencies, develop reporting metrics, and support external audits and tax compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 10-15 years of relevant accounting experience, management and FP&A for complex manufacturing environments.
• Expert knowledge of cost accounting, project accounting and inventory valuation.
• Advanced Excel and data analytics skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all financial accounting processes and reporting for corporate and manufacturing facilities.
• Review standard costs for items and update annually, including project accounting for services.
• Develop annual budgets and forecasts.
• Lead inventory management including logistics tracking, demand planning and product movement.
• Manage BOM setup and variance analysis for year changes.
• Provide weekly labor cost performance data to plant teams.
• Support cycle count and inventory counts.
• Coordinate, review, and approve all monthly reconciliations.
• Ensure journal entries are processed accurately and timely.
• Drive mitigation of control gaps and robust financial controls.
• Assist in plant cost reduction project tracking.
