Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field OR equivalent education and experience
• One to two years of accounting/finance experience preferred
• SAP experience preferred
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP
• Strong analytical skills to review and analyze accounting data and reconcile statements
• Ability to identify, measure, evaluate and improve accounting and operational controls
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Supporting month-end closing of varying complexity including accruals, journal entries and reserves
• Preparing complex reports daily, weekly and monthly (inventory, production, cost of quality)
• Reviewing variance postings for accuracy and following up on closings
• Performing financial analysis and communicating findings to enable management decisions
• Identifying improvements for managerial and operational controls
• Coordinating with external auditors and providing documentation
• Performing standard costing for new materials and products
• Assessing capital expenditure requests via ROI and payback modeling
• Supporting annual Operating Plan and forecasting cycles with department heads
