Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a Finance Analyst I – Operations Finance to join our growing team in Carlisle. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, financial planning, and operational analysis, partnering with plant leadership.

You will analyze performance, drive improvement, and visit facilities as needed. The hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 remote) supports career development and exposure to global manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 0–2 years of finance or accounting experience; manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Hands-on cost accounting experience (standard costing, variance analysis) is a differentiator.
• SAP experience preferred; quick to learn ERP and reporting systems.
• Experience preparing management-level presentations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly plant performance reporting including variance analysis and KPI scorecards.
• Analyze plant cost trends (material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption, scrap, yield) and recommend actions.
• Monitor operational activity and P&L impact for plant leadership with the BU Controller.
• Spend time in plants to understand production processes and cost structure.
• Develop and maintain standard costs; validate BOMs and overhead rates with stakeholders.
• Assist with monthly forecast, annual budget, and month-end close entries.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis on plant opportunities and build scenario models.
• Support SOX compliance and inventory integrity checks.
