Job summary

Sonaca North America seeks a Finance Analyst to direct all financial activities for Corporate Functions or a plant. The role involves modeling financial performance, ensuring GAAP accuracy, and collaborating with senior leaders to forecast and report on activity and position.

The analyst will support budgets, analyze workloads and pricing, and maintain detailed inventory and cost data while promoting strong internal controls in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques is highly desired.
• Ability to read and interpret financial reports and regulations; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with financial accounting software such as AS400 and inventory systems.
• Ability to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial management.

Responsibilities

• Assist plant managers and staff with understanding plant financial objectives and cost-effective performance.
• Support Plant General Manager and production personnel in workload decisions during daily operations.
• Analyze workloads, pricing quotes, and workload mix to improve plant performance.
• Perform ongoing detailed analysis of plant performance.
• Emphasize job cost, inventory management and valuation in analyses.
• Ensure GAAP accuracy of plant financial statements.
• Prepare monthly reports summarizing and forecasting business activity and financial position.
• Facilitate annual plant financial budgets and review capital expenditures.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts for plants.
• Develop and maintain unit cost data for inventory at plants.
• Enhance internal controls with emphasis on inventory control.
• Monitor fixed assets and manage disposals or transfers.
• Perform quarterly and year-end plant-specific accounting work; assist with SOX documentation.
