Job summary

Capital Factory in Clinton, MA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician III to join our on-site maintenance team. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, maintaining temperature control and safety procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on all plant equipment and facilities in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Perform minor machinery repairs when necessary.
Follow standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and perform preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC while maintaining safety.
Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
Monitor & maintain facilities: heating, cooling, and lighting systems; operate shop floor cleaning machine; groundskeeping; remove snow.
Fabrication as part of Continual Improvement projects.
Provide production support: monitor CNC coolant; coordinate with machinists for scrap containment and removal; waste containment and removal; operate forklift and move stock.
Perform all functions of the job while adhering to established quality policies and procedures.
Uphold the company core values.
Other duties as assigned.

Facilities Maintenance Technician III

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

FLSA: Hourly, Full-Time, Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

The Facility Maintenance Technician III is responsible for completing scheduled maintenance, scheduling of routine repairs, inspection sheets and supply needs. Maintenance Technicians inspect wiring, repair pipes, troubleshoot equipment, replace light bulbs, install new equipment, HVAC, plumbing and preventive maintenance. They document and monitor temperature control systems to ensure safety and identify discrepancies that could indicate a machinery problem. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine maintenance on all plant equipment and facilities in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Perform minor machinery repairs when necessary.
Follow standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and perform preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC while maintaining safety.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
4-6 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
