Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation in Jessup, MD, seeks an Assembly Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing across multiple backshop departments, ensuring safe, on-time production of aerospace and defense products.
You will drive production schedules, coordinate resources, monitor metrics, and uphold ISO9001/AS9100 compliance while promoting safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the plant.
The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations across multiple production departments to ensure the safe, efficient, and on-time manufacture of aerospace and defense products. This role provides direct supervision and leadership for all backshop operations while ensuring compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Assembly Supervisor drives continuous improvement initiatives, develops production personnel, maintains production schedules, and promotes a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence. Commitment to and support of the Company Core Values are key to success in this position.
Directly supervises backshop team members, to include direct labor and supervisors of the backshop team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities to include; interviewing, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
