Job summary

American Products is hiring a Custodian to support our Facilities Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. This role is essential to maintaining clean, safe, and well-organized production and common areas.

The position includes a weekend schedule with a 5:30am–5:30pm shift, and training on the day shift as needed. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, janitorial experience in industrial settings, and the ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean facilities.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean restrooms and breakrooms using approved chemicals and equipment.
• Clean plant floors using ride-on and walk-behind scrubbers and sweepers.
• Empty trash throughout the facility.
• Transport waste and cardboard to compactors using a forklift.
• Restock supplies, fill dispensers, and disinfect surfaces.
• Clean windows, walls, and high-traffic areas.
• Report facility or safety issues to Maintenance.
• Assist with larger cleaning projects as needed.
