Job summary

American Products is seeking a Custodian to support our Facilities Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.

This role covers evening and overnight shifts with a differential. Will train on day shift. You will deep clean restrooms and breakrooms, scrub plant floors, empty trash, transport waste, restock supplies, and disinfect surfaces. Close attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Janitorial experience in manufacturing/industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean facilities.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean restrooms and breakrooms using approved chemicals and equipment
• Clean plant floors using ride-on and walk-behind scrubbers and sweepers
• Empty trash throughout the facility
• Transport waste and cardboard to compactors using a forklift
• Restock supplies, fill dispensers, and disinfect surfaces
• Clean windows, walls, and high-traffic areas
• Report facility or safety issues to Maintenance
• Assist with larger cleaning projects as needed

• Monday- Thursday: 1:30 PM – 11:30 PM

Physical & Safety Requirements
