Job summary

City of Lincoln seeks an Expeditor to accelerate parts and materials so orders finish on time. You will aggressively follow up on internal customer requests and provide status updates.

Responsibilities include monitoring order expediting, coordinating with manufacturing to meet deadlines, and sharing ETA information. Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems is expected; overtime may be required to satisfy customer needs.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• ERP experience and ability to follow instructions.
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize tasks.
• Able to work overtime to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Steward our mission and values and support continuous improvement.
• Monitor expedite box and update internal customers on requests.
• Track and act on orders past due or idle to prevent delays.
• Coordinate priority expediting with manufacturing to ensure on-time completion.
• Provide proactive feedback on ETA, overdue orders, and paid expedite orders.
• Expedite short materials with purchasing to avoid late starts.
• Expedite corrective actions to meet turnaround times.
• Assemble weekly production meeting docs on part statuses.
• Identify root causes and implement flow improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
