Job summary

O'Neal Manufacturing Services, LLC is seeking a Cost Estimator to develop cost estimates and pricing for quotes and proposals. The role analyzes customer revisions to determine related cost/price changes and handles administrative setup of parts, kits, and assemblies in the division's business system.

Daily interaction across levels in the division is required. The position focuses on day-to-day administrative and technical activities to develop data used for proposals and setup of new business

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.
• Experience with ERP system, preferred.
• Able to work in a high-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate customer prints and specifications to determine production methods based on cost and quality.
• Assist in developing new business with existing customers.
• Help ensure that business remains profitable, sustainable and collectible.
• Travel as needed; overnight travel may be required occasionally.
• Apply pricing strategy principles to proposals and cost estimation.
• Collaborate with plants to ensure accurate and timely customer proposals.

Job description

This positionis responsible fordeveloping cost estimates and pricing in response to quote / proposal requests from new and existing customers.Additionally, this role will analyze customer revisions to determine related cost / price changes.This individual will handle all the administrative aspects to set up parts,kitsand assemblies in the business system of the division. The incumbent will interact daily at various levels within the division. This individual would have the ability to understand andparticipatein resolving the technical and operational challenges withparticular businessopportunities. This person will spend more than 90% of their time executing theday to dayadministrative and technical activities associated with developing data used to propose and set up new business.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate customer prints and specifications todeterminebest production methods considering cost and quality.
• Assistother associates as needed in the development of new business with existing customers.
• Help toassurethat weretainbusiness that is profitable,sustainableand collectable.
• Travel as needed toaccomplishdesired results. Overnight travel may berequiredoccasionally.
• Applythe principles used in the pricing strategies.
• Work collaboratively withthe plants toassureaccurateandtimelyproposals to the customer.
• Work collaboratively with Plant Managers, ManufacturingAnalysts, Sales/Business Developmentteamsand corporate departments to ensureaccurateestimates of manufacturing costs.
• Participate in technical discussions with internal associates.
• Communicate status of analysis projects andassurethat agreed upon deadlines are met.
• Mayassistin creating formal presentations.
• Mayassistin the preparation and organization of the planned business review meetings with customers.
• Have a general understanding of the financial performance of the division.
