A Day in the Life

In this exciting role as a Manufacturing Equipment Technician you will be responsible for maintaining the function of electro-mechanical equipment including but not limited to preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, corrective. The Structural Heart Business is one of the fastest growing businesses, helping valve replacement patients across the globe. This role reports to the Operations Engineering Supervisor.

This individual will be apart of a team of other manufacturing maintenance technicians at our Dexter, MI Site.

1st shift – M-F, 6am-2:30 pm

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordination with Production Team Leads to bring select equipment down for maintenance or troubleshooting.
  • Triaging reported issues with equipment within the cleanroom environment.
  • Steady communication with the Production Team Leads and Manufacturing Engineering groups.
  • Communicates process issues and provides status updates to team supervisor.
  • Coaches operators/assemblers on production and problem solving skills, performing technical review and machinery setup/breakdown as needed.
  • Ensures Medtronic company quality and safety standards are upheld.


Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires High School Diploma and minimum of 4 years of experience.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):57,200-85,800

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
