Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Equipment Technician for a leading semiconductor client in the Dallas area. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing semiconductor assembly equipment, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent military experience, be comfortable working in a cleanroom, and capable of lifting up to 50 lb while supporting LEAN

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on ability are critical for this role.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems is required.
  • Cleanroom environment experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair semiconductor assembly equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on tools (e.g., Datacon die attach, K&S wire bonders, Disco saws, ASM SMT systems).
  • Assist with equipment installations, de-installations, and relocations, coordinating with process engineers and operators to minimize downtime.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Equipment Technician to join a leading semiconductor client in Dallas, TX. The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing semiconductor assembly equipment in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment. This role performs preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on a variety of tools, including Datacon die attach equipment, K&S wire bonders, Disco saws, and ASM SMT systems, to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. The technician also supports equipment installations, de-installations, and tool relocations while working closely with process engineers and production operators to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

In addition, the Equipment Technician plays an active role in continuous improvement initiatives by participating in LEAN manufacturing and 5S activities, identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, organization, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and able to work effectively in a compressed work week schedule while supporting the dynamic needs of the manufacturing floor.
