SICK AG is seeking a Repair Technician I for its Minneapolis campus. This day-shift role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and skilled repairs of complex production equipment.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical and electrical background, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to read engineering drawings. On-site role with growth opportunities within a global sensor solutions leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical associate degree preferred.
• 0–2 years in electronic or mechanical manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma principles is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, Fiix or other PM software.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance for safety and effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery.
• Document and log maintenance details in the system and update work instructions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory of spare parts.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety audits.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Provide training and technical support to production staff.
• Order supplies to complete maintenance tasks.
