Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to join the MESD leadership and Engineering Group. You will identify downtime issues, analyze root causes, and develop countermeasures to improve reliability across regional production.

In this role, you will coordinate with EPD and ERS teams, support new technology introductions, and prepare PDCA reports. A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background and 0-2 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years of technical/engineering work experience in Manufacturing.
• Experience with automated equipment electrical hardware/software and PLC/HMI is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify chronic downtime root causes and recommend countermeasures.
• Analyze manufacturing characteristics and compare to Genpo targets.
• Contribute to reliability improvements for new equipment specs.
• Prepare PDCA reports and track improvements.
• Support new technology introduction and coordination with EPD/ERS teams.
