Job description

Polytek Development Corp. is a leading manufacturer of mold making and casting materials. Polytek is currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and extremely organized individual to join our rapidly expanding company.

Essential Job Functions:

Major tasks and responsibilities include:

1. Proficient understanding of preparing work by following assembly instructions, parts lists, and gathering parts, tools, and materials.
2. Verify labels and packaging requirements.
3. Resolve issues with assembly or packaging instructions in collaboration with team members and supervisors.
4. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
5. Cross-train on multiple pieces of equipment.
6. Operate assigned bottling equipment.
7. Perform basic setup and start-up of line equipment.
8. Conduct basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of bottling equipment.
9. Compile and update process data, specifications, and repair and test procedures.
10. Use real-time database to monitor/input data and track equipment performance and production activities.
11. Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
12. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
13. Assist with labeling, packaging, and boxing goods for shipping.
14. Understand hazards of products through training and reading Safety Data Sheets and labels.
15. Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety rules.
16. Report safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
17. Follow all rules in Polytek’s Employee Policy Manual.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Employees must meet the following physical requirements:

1. Stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
2. Lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
3. Bend, squat, walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms; ascend/descend stairs/ladders.
4. Maintain good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
5. Wear PPE throughout the shift.

Education and Experience:

1. Ability to understand, speak, read, and write English.
2. High school diploma or equivalent required.
3. One year manufacturing experience preferred; training provided.
4. Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
5. Experience with line operations preferred.
6. Forklift experience is a plus.
7. Effective time management and ability to follow directions.
8. Willingness to train others.
9. Basic computer skills.
