Polytek Development Corp. is a leading manufacturer of mold making and casting materials. Polytek is currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and extremely organized individual to join our rapidly expanding company.
Essential Job Functions:
Major tasks and responsibilities include:
- Proficient understanding of preparing work by following assembly instructions, parts lists, and gathering parts, tools, and materials.
- Verify labels and packaging requirements.
- Resolve issues with assembly or packaging instructions in collaboration with team members and supervisors.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Cross-train on multiple pieces of equipment.
- Operate assigned bottling equipment.
- Perform basic setup and start-up of line equipment.
- Conduct basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of bottling equipment.
- Compile and update process data, specifications, and repair and test procedures.
- Use real-time database to monitor/input data and track equipment performance and production activities.
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Assist with labeling, packaging, and boxing goods for shipping.
- Understand hazards of products through training and reading Safety Data Sheets and labels.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety rules.
- Report safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
- Follow all rules in Polytek’s Employee Policy Manual.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Employees must meet the following physical requirements:
- Stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Bend, squat, walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms; ascend/descend stairs/ladders.
- Maintain good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
- Wear PPE throughout the shift.
Education and Experience:
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write English.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year manufacturing experience preferred; training provided.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with line operations preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Effective time management and ability to follow directions.
- Willingness to train others.
- Basic computer skills.
