Job Responsibilities

1. Drive 10-wheel, straight-frame field trucks (weighing less than 26,001 pounds) to/from specified destinations within the area of employment.
2. Perform maneuvering of trucks into and out of loading and unloading positions under on-road and off-road conditions.
3. Operate trucks safely under rough and adverse off-road conditions, including underneath harvester booms as instructed.
4. Read maps, use GPS, understand directions, and navigate to specific locations.
5. Climb in and out of trucks regularly, and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and paperwork.
6. Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on assigned fleet vehicles, including cleaning and upkeep.
7. Operate pull tractors, tillage implements, and hosteling trucks for trailer movement and filling.
8. Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, complying with USDOT regulations.
9. Complete required forms and records in English, including work, vehicle, and mileage logs.
10. Maintain all vehicle maintenance records and submit weekly timesheets to the Farm Manager.
11. Transport workers to and from employer-provided housing and worksites, and carry crops, supplies, and equipment between farm locations.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record, with no major violations such as DUI or reckless driving.
• Ability to complete forms and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Compliance with all applicable motor carrier safety laws and regulations.
