Job Purpose

Leads, creates, and implements innovative technical activities and solutions in the areas of Business Plan, New Model, and Mass Production to efficiently meet or exceed Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale targets.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences, and processes in manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Review and analyze daily reports to identify potential countermeasures for Safety, Quality, Delivery (SQD) issues and root cause analysis, striving for continuous improvement.
  • Utilize data analysis and PDCA cycle to lead, support, develop, and justify solutions with related groups/departments for your area of responsibility to solve complex problems.
  • Monitor and manage equipment and processes to ensure optimal manufacturing performance while minimizing operating expenses.
  • Develop the capability of yourself, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in technical areas.
  • Establish priorities and make data-driven decisions to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage project implementation, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure successful completion and target achievement.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines.
  • Test, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve equipment and process efficiency.
  • Develop and manage budgets to meet cost targets.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-8 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software applications.
  • Positive attitude, open-minded, team-oriented.
  • Strong self-motivation and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Project management skills.
Decisions Expected
  • Monitor daily line performance and implement countermeasures.
  • Develop strategies to achieve unit and company initiatives.
  • Lead and evaluate business planning and resource justification.
  • Determine budgets and schedules for operational improvements.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a production environment requiring PPE and lockout procedures.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting within equipment.
  • Use of hand/power tools, gauges, and instrumentation.
  • 50% office, 50% manufacturing lineside activity.
  • Overtime and possible weekend/off-shift support.
  • Travel 5% (domestic & international).
