Diesel Mechanic

We are hiring immediately for Diesel Mechanics to maintain, diagnose, and repair our commercial vehicles and related equipment at our Madison, IL location. If you have a background as a diesel technician or related experience and excellent customer service skills, please apply!

• Successfully repair equipment as assigned
• Controlling downtime

Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment within specified Service Repair Times (SRT)
• Follow established maintenance procedures and guidelines
• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times

Working Conditions

Shop environment with exposure to noise, intermittent standing, walking, and occasional pushing, carrying, or lifting. Possible exposure to outside weather elements.

Physical Activities

Employees must frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, and hear; occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May need to lift/move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision.

Education and Experience

High school or GED, plus specialized schooling or on-the-job training in a specific skill area, 7-11 months related experience/training, and 1-6 months related management experience, or equivalent education and experience.
