Job summary

Donaldson Company is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support planning, installation, and optimization of manufacturing equipment. You will contribute to continuous improvement projects and help drive efficiency on the shop floor.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read drawings, and experience with hand and power tools. The position is based in Greeneville, Tennessee and requires US work authorization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and basic electrical schematics.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in execution of engineering and continuous improvement projects from planning through implementation.
• Build, modify, install, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and workstations.
• Assist with installation, startup, and validation of new manufacturing equipment.
• Fabricate or Modify components to support manufacturing improvements.
• Support manufacturing engineers with equipment upgrades, automation projects, and production launches.
• Perform equipment trials and document results.
• Assist with machine layouts, line improvements, and workstation optimization.
• Collect production data, perform time studies, and support root cause investigations.
• Develop and update work instructions, visual controls, and project documentation.
• Coordinate project activities with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and outside vendors.
• Support safety improvements, ergonomic projects, and 6S initiatives.
• Maintain project schedules and communicate progress to the Engineering Manager.
