Qualifications

• Understand written and verbal instructions.
• Read blueprints and routings and perform basic math to manage return to stock and scrap.
• Perform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment.
• Interact constructively and effectively with team members on the production line to achieve the desired outcomes.
• React positively to change and handle other tasks as assigned.
• Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance.
• Detect unusual conditions or defective material and report to supervisor.
• Have the physical ability to handle any size or weight liner with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies and procedures, including wearing all designated PPE.
• Set up and operate spot welders and H‑clips for steel.
• Perform proficient change‑overs with no line stoppages.
• Form liners within acceptable quality and quantity standards as stated in the blueprints/route sheets.
• Fit and position product weldments, using welding fixtures, jigs and rollers where applicable.
• Recognize and understand the functions and capabilities of the welder, H‑clip machine, and roller table to ensure safe, correct and efficient operations.
• Communicate effectively with others on the assembly line to help keep the line operating at the desired production rate.
• Complete all applicable paperwork (scrap sheets, return to stock, safety checks, first‑piece sheets, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Utilize mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to complete daily tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety (6S) in the work area and participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
• Maintain routed standards and other key job performance metrics (change over time, scrap, return to stock, etc.).
• Be able to work scheduled overtime hours as well as over/under coverage as needed.
• Assist other departments as assigned and perform any other duties as assigned.
