Job description

The Cell Manufacturing Engineering team at Amplify Cell Technologies is looking for multiple highly motivated Manufacturing Equipment Engineers with various disciplines (Chemical, Mechanical, Controls/Electrical) to contribute to the development and design of battery cell manufacturing equipment. Battery cells are one of the most complex and challenging components designed and manufactured at Amplify Cell Technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Amplify Cell Technologies’ world-class manufacturing facility. The EV market is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work on designing and developing a new generation of leading-edge, high-speed, ultra-high-scale automated manufacturing equipment. In addition to developing and sourcing automated manufacturing equipment, the Manufacturing Equipment Engineer works with cross-functional teams to test, validate, and roll out equipment to production. The ideal candidate takes pride in their hands-on work, analytical ability, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Company Overview: Amplify Cell Technologies was created by Accelera, PACCAR, Daimler Truck, and EVE is a Battery Cell Manufacturing company dedicated to producing cells mainly for the Commercial Vehicle and Energy Storage Systems market.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage equipment suppliers or internal design teams through development and deployment milestones (O PO release, FDR, FAT, SAT, SOP, Ramp).
  2. Develop station requirements (work content, automated versus manual, buffering strategy, redundancy requirements, etc.).
  3. Work with industrial engineering to develop material flow strategy within the factory.
  4. Identify utilities needed and utility distribution strategy (PDPs, compressed air, process water, etc.).
  5. Complete process failure mode and analysis (PFMEA).
  6. Oversee equipment installation and coordinate with building and utilities team.
  7. Develop equipment validation plans and execute them.
  8. Create detailed Manufacturing Instructions to document new processes.
