Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support production process improvements, tooling, and workstation design in Tomball, TX. You will assist in documenting standard work, collect and analyze production data, and help implement changes on the shop floor to boost efficiency and quality.

Formación

• 2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician or similar role.
• Associate Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and apply engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Proficiency with CAD for tooling and layouts.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, kaizen, and value stream mapping).
• Experience with Six Sigma and basic problem-solving tools.
• Familiarity with ERP and MES systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Detail-oriented with documentation integrity.
• Effective cross-functional communication.

Responsabilidades

• Assist engineers in developing, documenting, and improving standard work instructions, routings, and process flows.
• Support process optimization for efficiency, quality, and consistency across manufacturing lines.
• Assist with jig/fixture/tooling design and workstation layouts.
• Support first-article inspection and validation of tooling, fixtures, and processes.
• Gather, organize, and maintain production data for root-cause analysis and improvements.
• Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process enhancement.
• Participate in Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput, safety, and quality.
• Provide floor support to diagnose process/equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain engineering documentation and change records per change-control procedures.
• Assist with setup and trial runs of new products or process changes; conduct time studies and line balancing.
• Support new product introduction by ensuring processes, tooling, and documentation are ready for production.
• Follow safety, quality, environmental policies and procedures; comply with regulatory standards.
• Communicate with production supervisors, quality engineers, and maintenance staff to resolve issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and best practices.
