Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support medical device manufacturing. You will assist in improving processes, maintain production systems, and help with equipment validation and Lean initiatives.

The role requires a technical degree, electronics background, and experience in regulated environments. You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production, and IT to troubleshoot issues, develop tooling, read schematics, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related technical field; equivalent combo considered.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing or highly regulated environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing engineering, production, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Background in electronics and electronic test equipment; troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience developing and executing test plans and documenting results.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Self-motivated with continuous improvement mindset; detail-oriented.
  • Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing engineers in improving production processes and equipment performance.
  • Generate, update, and maintain equipment maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing and test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot process, material, and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Develop, assemble, procure, or modify tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and process sheets to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Assist with equipment installation, qualification, validation, and process improvements.
  • Perform testing, collect data, and prepare technical reports with guidance.
  • Conduct time studies and analyze workflows to identify Lean improvements.
  • Assist with failure analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Provide on-site IT equipment/software support; coordinate with IT.
  • Train manufacturing personnel on new products, equipment, tooling, and revisions.
  • Maintain compliance with FDA/ISO quality systems.
