Job summary

Carestream is seeking an Engineering Technician to provide hands-on support to Engineering and Manufacturing in an electromechanical medical device assembly environment. You will assist with builds, validations, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure production readiness.

You will work with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to diagnose issues, perform process improvements, manage SOPs and GDP, and maintain compliance with ISO 13485, MDSAP, and FDA Quality System Regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years in manufacturing/engineering technician role.
• Associate's degree or higher in STEM with 1+ years in manufacturing/engineering technician role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and able to perform data entry, formulas, charts.

Responsibilities

• Follow engineering direction to evaluate, repair, rework, and modify electromechanical assemblies in accordance with procedures and quality standards.
• Execute engineering test plans and collect data to support verification, validation, root-cause investigations, and improvements.
• Collaborate with production lines to understand processes and enable troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Assist with product development activities, including engineering builds, NPI, and transfers.
• Write and maintain SOPs and train Production Operators on SOP adherence.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ validation, data collection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create, maintain, and revise controlled manufacturing documents including work instructions and change records.
• Ensure ISO 13485, MDSAP, FDA regulations compliance and support audits and CAPA activities.
