Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Yoh is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for our medical device manufacturing client. In this role, you will support manufacturing operations by partnering with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production, and Corporate IT to improve manufacturing processes, troubleshoot equipment, maintain production systems, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will assist with equipment validation, process improvements, Lean manufacturing activities, fixture development, and technical support in a regulated medical device environment.

Job Functions
- Support manufacturing engineers in improving production processes, equipment performance, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Generate, update, and maintain equipment maintenance procedures and documentation.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing and test equipment.
- Troubleshoot process, material, and equipment issues to minimize downtime and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop, assemble, procure, or modify tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment to support efficient production.
- Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process sheets, and technical documentation to troubleshoot equipment and perform testing.
- Assist with equipment installation, qualification, validation, and process improvements to increase productivity.
- Perform testing, collect data, and prepare technical reports with guidance from Manufacturing Engineering.
- Conduct time studies and analyze manufacturing workflows to identify opportunities for Lean process improvements.
- Assist with failure analysis, root cause investigations, troubleshooting, and repair of nonconforming products.
- Support analytical laboratory testing as required.
- Train manufacturing personnel on new products, equipment, tooling, and process revisions.
- Provide on-site technical support for IT equipment and software while working closely with the Corporate IT department.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for local personnel and coordinate with Corporate IT on system support.
- Maintain compliance with company quality systems, policies, procedures, FDA regulations, and ISO standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Education & Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or a related technical field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Previous experience in medical device manufacturing (FDA/ISO 13485) or another highly regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience supporting manufacturing engineering, production, or process improvement initiatives.
- Background in electronics, electronic test equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience developing and executing test plans and documenting results.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Self‑motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
