Job summary

Hendrickson in Somerset, KY is seeking a skilled technician to support CNC and HT processes, troubleshoot issues, and provide back-up welding and robotic welding support as needed.

Responsibilities include applying gauging and tooling concepts, identifying improvement opportunities, maintaining part programs, and evaluating tooling for repairs or enhancements; strong mechanical aptitude and PLC/robotics training preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret prints, sketches, verbal instructions and data to identify tooling.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude; formal training in robotics systems, CNC, machining, and SPC.
• AutoCAD experience a plus.
• Evaluate tooling and fixturing to determine optimum method of repair or improvement.
• PLC programming knowledge.
• Shift flexibility required.
• FANUC robotics background preferred.
• Welding experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply gauging, fixtures and tooling concepts to assist in problem solving.
• Identify tooling cleanliness, operation sequences, or forming consistency improvements to boost throughput or quality.
• Maintain and control part programs for all machining areas.
• Evaluate tooling and fixturing to determine repairs or improvements.
• Support production staff as they assume greater manufacturing responsibilities.
