Job summary

Lifecore Biomedical, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for 2nd shift to provide hands-on production support for packaging operations, ensuring equipment reliability, process efficiency, and minimal downtime.

The role acts as a liaison between Operations, Engineering and Maintenance, driving issue resolution and continuous improvement. Schedule: 3:15pm–1:45am, Monday–Thursday; Starting pay: $29.00–$32.00/hour plus $1.25/hour 2nd shift premium.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the medical device or biopharmaceutical industry preferred but not required.
• Previous preventative maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and analyze process/equipment metrics to improve the process/equipment.
• Investigate and correct problems involving the manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ensure all necessary spare parts are on hand and material of contact documented.
• Perform/coordinate preventative maintenance and calibration.
• Work with equipment vendors to procure/maintain/troubleshoot equipment.

As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will provide hands‑on production support for packaging operations, ensuring equipment reliability, process efficiency, and minimal downtime. In this role, you will:

• Create and analyze relevant process/equipment metrics to improve the process/equipment
• Investigate and correct problems involving the manufacturing processes and equipment
• Ensure all necessary spare parts are on hand and material of contact documented
• Perform/coordinate preventative maintenance and calibration
• Work with equipment vendors to procure/maintain/troubleshoot equipment
