Job summary

Form Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the pack assembly engineering team and oversee lifecycle management from design to high-volume production. You will drive DFM/DFA alignment, procure and commission equipment, and mentor engineers in a fast-growing energy manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes Lean principles, program leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with design teams to scale battery module and pack assembly for large-scale production.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering with 1–3 years leading an engineering team.
• Experience procuring, setting up and commissioning manufacturing equipment.
• Strong lean manufacturing knowledge in high-volume production.
• Process engineering experience with developing and optimizing new processes.
• Experience managing full lifecycle of manufacturing projects from concept to production.
• Excellent organization and project management skills; Jira experience preferred.
• Solid technical background enabling collaboration with design teams.
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering team for pack assembly areas.
• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for battery module and pack assembly.
• Lead procurement, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment; draft URS and coordinate FAT/SAT.
• Drive continuous improvement for production efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability (DFM) and DFA.
• Lead technical discussions with internal and external partners.
• Manage all manufacturing engineering phases from design reviews to ramp-up.
• Mentor and develop a team of manufacturing engineers.
• Use Jira to track timelines, tasks, and deliverables.
